We sell both mushroom powders and mushroom tinctures, so we get asked constantly which one is "better." The honest answer is that they're not really competing products, they're just different delivery methods, and the right one depends on how you like to take your supplements.
How powders work
A powder, like our Reishi Mushroom Powder, is a concentrated mushroom extract you stir into a drink or food. Your digestive system then has to break it down before your body can use the compounds inside it. This works well, but digestion isn't perfectly efficient, especially for beta-glucans, which are somewhat locked inside a mushroom's cell walls.
How tinctures work
A tincture, like our Reishi Tincture, is already dissolved in a water and alcohol solution. That means the compounds are already extracted and ready to absorb, either through the tissue under your tongue or quickly through your gut, without needing to be broken down first. This is generally why tinctures can feel more immediate then powders, even at a lower headline dose.
So which should you pick?
If you like mixing something into your morning coffee, smoothie, or porridge as part of a bigger routine, powder is the easier fit. If you want something fast, portable (a pipette in your bag beats a tub of powder), or you want maximum absorption from a smaller amount, a tincture makes more sense.
Plenty of our customers actually use both, powder for the mushrooms they take daily as part of a routine, and a tincture for the ones they want to feel working quickly. There's no wrong answer here, just the one that fits how you actually live.
